Introducing Donor Tec: This fantastic program provides
donated software and hardware to eligible Australian non-profit
groups with Income Tax Exempt Status (ITE). Participating
companies (such as Microsoft, Cisco, and
Mission Research/Giftworks ) each have specific eligibility
criteria, usually based on size or purpose of the organisation.
This is similar to the TechSoupStock program that has been
running in the US for some time.
Eligible organisations are required to pay a small
administrative fee to cover the costs of the program. Whilst
these fees vary, not-for-profit organisations stand to make
savings of between 92-96% on typical retail prices!
The DonorTec Program is brought to you by
Connecting Up Australia, in partnership with the
not-for-profit technology capacity building organisation,
TechSoup Global (the international arm of TechSoup below).

TechSoup
is a trusted technology resource that offers a variety of
information and services for the benefit of the nonprofit
sector. TechSoup provides instructional articles and worksheets
for nonprofit staff members who utilise information
technologies, as well as technology planning information for
executives and other decision makers. Their introductory
articles and message board support are aimed at those who do not
have much experience using technology, but they also provide
more advanced information.
